Lewis Hamilton on Ferrari and why he has no desire to leave Mercedes

Lewis Hamilton has confessed that joining Ferrari remains a potential choice for him in the long run but isn’t sure whether the move is part of the F1″game plan” – together with the Mercedes driver saying that”loyalty is crucial”.
While Hamilton has made no secret of his admiration Though Hamilton is signed up until the end of 2020 at Mercedes, a blockbuster link-up involving the world champion and the sport group has been mooted.

Mercedes even revealed last year Hamilton driving for Ferrari’s possibility was discussed during their contract talks.
Upon arriving at Monza, the Scuderia’s famous home F1 monitor, Hamilton said he still receives messages from Ferrari fans asking him to join, but was non-committal over his future when asked by Sky F1 in the event the change”tempts” him.
“I really don’t know whether it’s about being tempted, it’s all about whether or not it’s a part of the game plan,” replied Hamilton, who subsequently explained how important”history” and”devotion” would be to him Mercedes, who he joined in 2013.
“I was merely asked this question:’How would you feel if you ended your career with no Ferrari?’ . And frankly when you’re part of Mercedes you are a part of a household for a lifetime – giving you stay with them.
“If you take a look in Stirling Moss, then you’ve got Juan Manuel Fangio who’s still honoured within the household. You’re part of the history and they look after you.
“That is important to me personally, loyalty is a very key part.
“But if there’s some stage in my life where I decide that I wish to modify, then [Ferrari] potentially could be an alternative.”
Hamilton added to colleagues that Ferrari are now settled using”two excellent drivers” at Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc, who he’s been impressed with his rookie year.
“They have two great drivers there today,” said Hamilton. “I am sure they are contented with their youthful star they’ve got coming up and I’m incredibly excited to see how he evolves”
Hamilton has won four of the five titles with Mercedes and is now your favourite to claim that the sixth in 2019 holding a lead with eight races remaining in the season.
Ferrari finally sealed their first success of the season last weekend in Belgium but return to their residence Italian GP under stress.
The group haven’t won at Monza – together by Mercedes winning the last five races there – while their drivers’ and constructors’ titles arrived from 2008 and 2007 respectively.
Hamilton believes that run is just one.
“They’ve never had a championship clearly since 2007 so there is that longing that fans have of visiting their favorite team triumph,” he explained.
“I’m sure they are only relating this to the fact I’ve won the championship the past couple of years.”
The Tifosi, ferrari supporters, is going to be out in force this weekend earlier, he believes the relationship is improving, though Hamilton has been booed on the podium.
“I think it’s grown a lot through the years but it takes a very long time to shift perception,” he explained.
“We come here and you stand on top of their podium and 90 per cent and are all Ferrari fans. We’ve come here using Mercedes at the step, and I’ve created the weekend not so great for Ferrari fans.
“However, I love and admire them a huge amount and, in actual fact, once I come here lots of Ferrari fans really ask me to visit Ferrari. And I get lots of Ferrari lovers who say,’I’m a Ferrari fan but I admire you’.
“I think that it’s growing slowly, bit by bit. But it would never be the same if I was driving for a Ferrari team.”
