Englands Charley Hull moved into Controversy in the CME Group Tour Championship Using a 66.
Hull who won the LPGA Tours season finale at 2016, mixed seven birdies with a bogey at Tiburon Golf Club to get under and over.
The Korean posted a bogey-free 68 to go into the final round of the Nelly Korda of America , together with Germanys Caroline Masson four strokes back and retained her overnight edge.
Kim temporarily held a five-shot guide after three birdies over the first seven holes, before ending a string of pars by holing a 25-footer in the 15th on her way into a bogey-free round.
Korda reached the turn in 35 but jumped nearer to the guide along with five birdies on her back nine, including a bunker shot at the 11th, while Masson stayed using a 70.
Englands Bronte Law shot a 68 and is tied for ninth, two shots behind Hull, while Georgia Hall is a further two shots back after a 71.
