“I was a person who had been competitive, I wished to score runs,” he explained. “I didn’t want to bat all day to find a hundred, I wished to bat daily to receive 170. I had been hit ball, see ball and tried to hit it late and beneath my eyes.
“I went far in the ball with foot motion and generally whenever you are not receiving the contact you need, it is because you are hitting the ball too premature .”
Trescothick, who clubbed 12 ODI countless, also talked activate moves, keeping up your head and the secrets to playing spin.
“I could always sweep, that was always my go-to shot, but since I played better spinners in global cricket I had to create and be in a position to control the ball. As the pressure builds, you do not wish to get stuck in one end.
“You can get on one knee and also shred small tap sweeps. Furthermore, if you come over the cover of the ball, you can nearly splat it to the floor to take the bounce and also the spin out of it.”
