As three have been dumped out in dramatic fashion, it was a tough night for seeds . Chris Dobey beat Gary Anderson with a few darts. Smith was so poor starting his arms although ian White played nicely also. James Wade had plenty of chances but King penalized him. Beginning on the double is taking its toll! Not for Michael Van Gerwen, however, who performed with some stuff. De Zwaan did not play but not got close to MVG. The bottom half of the draw play I think that it could be a bit more comfortable for some and this day in their second round matches.
My pick would be Nathan Aspinall. He threw a match average of 92 and awakened Vincent Van der Voort 2-0 from the first round. He appears to relish the stage and accept everything. He did not even play well although noppert beat on a Gurney at the first round. Gurney provided him lots of chances and to be fair to him he did shoot them but Aspinall offering him the opportunities cant be seen by me. Aspinalls all around game better and is simply getting better and hell be confident of a quarter final place.
My second choice is the Dave Chisnall match treble. He held his nerve to come through with the victory and pulled five 180s in a thriller against Cost. He performed with some things and following his conduct in the Tour he is among the kind players in the PDC. Stephen Bunting beat an under par Jonny Clayton however he did not need to play really well. He will should significantly improve on that if he is to beat on Chisnall and just averaged 77. I can not see Chisnall having too many issues tonight and he must go into the next round.
