The Chicago Cubs kicked off the 2018 MLB campaign following a hectic offseason which featured a flurry of free-agent signings, such as Steve Cishek, Brandon Morrow, and pitchers Yu Darvish amid high expectations.
But a season that opened with promise for the Cubs turned into a battle for their postseason lives harms to Darvish, Morrow, and third baseman Kris Bryant.
