The Chicago Cubs kicked off the 2018 MLB campaign amid high expectations after a busy offseason that featured a flurry of signings, such as pitchers Yu Darvish, Brandon Morrow, and Steve Cishek.
However a year that opened with guarantee for the Cubs turned to a battle for their postseason lives after harms to Morrow, Darvish, and third baseman Kris Bryant.
