A parlay, accumulator, combo wager or multipurpose is a single bet that links together two or more individual wagers and can be dependent on all of those wagers winning collectively. The benefit of the parlay is that there are much higher payoffs than putting each individual bet individually, because the difficulty of hitting them is higher. If any of the stakes in the parlay shed, the whole parlay loses. If some of the plays in the parlay ties, or”pushes”, the parlay reverts to a lesser amount of teams together with the odds decreasing accordingly.
Parlay bets are paid out at odds higher than the typical single game wager, but still under the”true” chances. As an example, a common 2-team NFL parlay based completely on the distribute normally has a payout of 2.6:1 if the two selections are correct.  In fact, however, if one supposes that each single match wager is a coin flip and would be expected to pay out at 1:1, the genuine payout must rather be 3:1, a significant difference.
The home makes a 20-31% gain on spread parlays, compared to a 7 percent gain on individualized sports bets. 
An alternate means to do a parlay would be to bet on two or more favorites simply winning up. In order to calculate the payout of the parlay, one must multiply the payout for all 3 games. As an instance, if 3 groups are +385 favorites, then a prosperous parlay on all 3 teams winning would pay out at a ratio of roughly 1/1. That is since (385/485)^3 is roughly 50 percent
