Jamie Murray became the first man to win three US Open doubles titles with victory.
The pair defended their title with a win against Hao-Ching Chan and top seeds Michael Venus around the Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Murray, who first won the mixed doubles along with Martina Hingis in Flushing Meadows in 2017, has won a US Open title in each of the previous four decades.
“We performed amazing, the entire fourteen days,” Murray explained. “We have had a lot of fun on the court. I am really, really, very pleased to win again.”
Murray and Mattek-Sands took control of the match with just two breaks of serve to win the pair.
The teams exchanged four successive breaks before a break was sealed by the fitting at 4-3, which proved decisive.
